Maura hasn't recorded anything by that title. Perhaps you heard "Ireland"; you can listen to a clip of the song at

http://www.mauraoconnell.com/disc_real_life_story.html

When you get to the page, click on "Ireland" and see if that isn't the song you heard....

There is also Remember Ireland from Mark O'Connor's Stone from Which the Arch was Made. Could that be it?

The song JUST FOR IRELAND was played on RTE radio and they said it was from Maura O Connell and was called JUST FOR IRELAND,it is a fantastic song,a real country -jive number and lotsof people here are talking about it. I cant say if it was the song called Ireland because the site only plays a 30sec clip and that is to short for me to know if a mistake was made with the name.I havent got the album in my collection,so I really cant tell by hearing just a short clip.

Who is talking about it??? Maybe they can say which song it was???

Maura's only idea on this topic is that the song has to be "Ireland" written by Greg Trooper and recorded for her Warner Bros record, "Real Life Story".

What RTE presenter played the song? Was it RTE1 or 2? What time of day?

Sorry we can't be of more help....

Ireland by Greg Tropper is a great song, that is probably it. A real fun timey, get-up-and-shake melody, rollicky.

Tropper has written some good stuff.

What is RTE?

Irish radio and television. They're good. In this case, I think we're talking about RTE Radio 1; http://www.rte.ie/radio1/
