According to the blog "The Year in Pictures", The Boss himself listens to Maura. Specifically, her version of Patty Griffin's song "Poor Man's House".

That's pretty neat. There are a lot of great songs on that list - some that I just never expected.

Well, we always knew that he had great taste--this proves it!!!!!!!!!! :D

He also loves Joe Ely, as my husband and I do, and even sang back up on one of his cds...now THAT is cool!

Way to go, Ms. Mo!

I knew it, I just knew it, now I know that two of my personal favorite performers are MO fans, "The Man" and "The Boss", no question about that. AND Springteen is from New Jersey, which automatically makes it a very cool place. Maybe we'll find out that Tony Soprano is also a fan?

Bruce did do the terrific double album called the "Dublin Sessions" which was a huge hit in Ireland. And essentially he has Folk music roots of a sort. And Maura always says "Folk" music is really music that is not of a particular time or place, timeless, as good NOW as 50 years ago or 50 years from now, MO and the Boss perfect together.

The song he picked is very fitting, "Poor Man's House", very much in with Bruce's populist philosophy, the little guy stuggling and fighting to make it. Patty Griffin is a very gifted songwriter and a fine singer and performer in her own right, no question there, but Maura does a tremendous job with that song and I am not surprised it was on the old iPod.
